NaMo Viksit Bharat Samvad: Celebrating Nari Shakti as the Foundation of a Developed India
In a powerful celebration of women’s empowerment and national development, the Centre for NaMo Studies, in collaboration with the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, successfully organised the NaMo Viksit Bharat Samvad under the inspiring theme “Nari Shakti as the Foundation of Viksit Bharat”. The event, held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, 15 Janpath, New Delhi, brought together distinguished dignitaries, thought leaders, and young minds to deliberate on the pivotal role of women in building a strong, prosperous, and Viksit Bharat.
The programme commenced with Introductory Remarks by Prof. Jasim Mohammad, a visionary educationist and Chairperson of the Centre for NaMo Studies. For years, Prof. Jasim Mohammad has passionately advocated that education is the bedrock of national development. He has consistently emphasised the critical importance of educating and empowering women, particularly in STEM fields, positioning them as teachers, technologists, and nation-builders. His belief that empowered women are essential for holistic national progress set the perfect tone for the evening.
A highlight of the event was the extensive and impactful interactive session by Prof. (Dr.) Divya Tanwar, renowned Cyber Security Expert, Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, and Founder-Chairperson of Divey Foundation. Prof. Tanwar delivered an enlightening address on responsible social media use, cyber awareness, digital ethics, and the emerging technological challenges facing today’s youth.

Prof. Tanwar emphasised that social media has become deeply woven into modern life and urged students to approach it with responsibility and mindfulness. She called upon young people to become conscious consumers and ethical disseminators of information.
“Every forward, every post, and every piece of content shared online has consequences. Before forwarding any message, one must verify its authenticity. Unverified information, hate-based narratives, and misleading content can contribute to social divisions and misinformation,”
She explained how social media algorithms amplify emotionally charged content and cautioned participants against becoming passive vectors of misinformation. Introducing the concept of digital psychology, Prof. Tanwar encouraged students to understand how digital platforms shape human behaviour, decision-making, and social interactions. She advised them to prioritise educational and career-oriented content such as UPSC interviews, motivational lectures, policy discussions, and skill-development resources.
Prof. Tanwar also stressed the importance of time management in the digital era, positioning social media as a valuable learning tool when used with discipline and purpose. She drew special attention to the serious threats posed by deepfake technologies, artificial intelligence-driven manipulation, voice cloning, facial recognition misuse, and identity theft.

“Deepfake technology presents one of the most serious challenges of the digital era. As technology evolves, ethical values and awareness become increasingly important. The misuse of technology can have serious social and personal consequences,”
Highlighting data privacy concerns, she remarked “Nothing in the digital world is entirely free. Whenever we use an application, we must understand what information we are sharing and what permissions we are granting. Awareness is the first step towards digital safety.”

Prof. Tanwar strongly advocated the adoption of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), strong password hygiene, vigilant monitoring of OTPs, and protection against cyber fraud and digital identity theft. She concluded by reminding everyone that digital literacy, cyber awareness, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence will be critical to realising India’s vision of a technologically advanced and developed nation.
The session was highly interactive, leaving students inspired and better equipped to navigate the digital landscape responsibly. The programme also featured other distinguished dignitaries including Smt. Kalpana Singh, Shri Shyam Jaju, Param Aadaraniya Rajmata Ambica Annpurna Ji, and Dr. Amna Mirza, among others.
This landmark event under the NaMo Viksit Bharat Samvad series reinforced the powerful message that Nari Shakti — empowered, educated, and digitally aware women — forms the strongest foundation for a Viksit Bharat. With leaders like Prof. Jasim Mohammad and Prof. Divya Rashmi Tanwar guiding the discourse, India’s youth are being prepared not just to participate in national development, but to lead it with wisdom, ethics, and strength.
